Spell Shop

The slice-of-life story of an unconventional group of people who just so happen to have magic at their fingertips, and yet who still need to pay the bills.

I dreamed up this story in my sophomore year of high school while working a part-time job at my local mall, wondering if restocking and reorganizing shelves would be any more entertaining if magic was somehow involved. This story explores that, but it also explores the life of someone with the worst luck, a found family that is needed by its local community and yet, who are scorned for even existing, and the hard truths that come with amazing abilities that we only have the slightest grasp on.

I’ll leave a warning here, there’s a strong chance that there won’t be a happy ending, but is there ever a happy ending when taxes are involved?
